We are NIGHT TOWN BAND, an all instrumental jazz band in the DFW area. Our playlist includes all styles of jazz such as standards, blues, Latin, smooth jazz, pop jazz and more. We are influenced by several great past and present artists including Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, Cannonball Adderley, Frank Sinatra, and Tony Bennett. JAM SESSIONS IN THE ATTIC
Cousins Joe (sax) and Pete (drums) grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and bonded over their shared passion for jazz. Now both living in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, their weekly jam sessions in the attic evolved into invitations to play gigs. When they connected with talented former New Englanders Tim (keyboard) and Dennis (stand up bass), and local Texan Blake (bass guitar), their second career was launched… NIGHT TOWN BAND.
Get to know Band Leader and Saxophonist, Joe Rubertino. Joe has been playing the sax since he was 12 years old. His father Luigi purchased Joe’s first sax in 1965. Luigi quickly recognized his son’s talent and sent him to the Cleveland Institute of Music and then for private lessons from Cleveland’s legendary jazz saxophonist Ernie Krivda. Joe played the wedding circuit and for private events in the Greater Cleveland area for 25+ years. Now residing in the Dallas area, Joe enjoys performing private and public events with NIGHT TOWN BAND and as well as performing as a guest saxophonist for other groups.
